Our clients have access to deeper levels of expertise than would be financially feasible for them to retain in-house on a long-term basis.  As an independent consultant, I provide our advice to the clients in a variety of forms. Reports and presentations are often used. However, in some specialized fields, we may develop and realize customized projects or other products for the client. Depending on the nature of the consulting services and the wishes of the client, the advice from us may be made public, by placing the report or presentation online, or the advice may be kept confidential, and only given to the senior executives of the organization paying for the consulting services.

ASSISTING NEW FARMERS

You are one step to create your own farming business. You have enough training, education, or experience running a farm to show that you can effectively manage your farm. But you do not know what to do, how to do and when to do.

You do not have resources to get started and you are thinking to apply for a 1) Direct Loan or 2) Guaranteed Loan. If your application to a bank for a loan has been

rejected we can help to obtain 3) FSA loan through USDA agent.

If you are a beginning farmer and cannot qualify for conventional loans because you have insufficient financial resources we will assist you to apply for a FSA loan that helps established farmers who have suffered financial setbacks from natural disasters, or whose resources are too limited to maintain profitable farming operations.

Obtaining a loan is never easy for beginning farmers, but programs available through the federal Farm Service Agency may make it less challenging. In order to get an FSA loan, you need to create a detailed business plan.  We can help you too.

Our format of the business plan includes:

  • Your mission, vision, and goals for your farm business

  • Your current assets (valuable things or investments you own) and liabilities (debts, loans, or payments you owe)

  • What your farm business will produce, and what makes your products unique, valuable, or different from other farmers’ products

  • How/where you will advertise and sell your products and develop your farm business

  • How you will earn enough money to pay your business expenses and support your personal family living expenses

  •

Thinking about all of these different issues may seem overwhelming to you. You might be thinking, “Do I really need to create a full business plan? It seems like a lot of work, and all I want to do is sell my products at farmers’ markets and local stores or restaurants. How hard can that be?”

The answer is YES, you should create a thoughtful business plan.
